THIS IS TOMORROW CALLING...
(Wishing you Were Here)
In collaboration with ZEMBLA, ALT-D launched the exhibition 'THIS IS TOMORROW CALLING (Wishing You Were Here) providing the opportunity for a physical exhibition during the Covid-19 crisis. The title of the show, has been kindly explained by ZEMBLA:
'In 1956 Bryan Robertson at Whitechapel Gallery hosted a ground breaking exhibition "devoted to the possibilities of collaboration between architects, painters and sculptors" called THIS IS TOMORROW CALLING...
These new graduates of Alt_D are 'Tomorrow'. In this Covid-19 year they have endured so much, including the cancelling of their hard worked for degree show. They've made a website, publications, a physical show and fundraised - we take our hat off to their incredible enthusiasm and resilience. 'Wishing you were here' is the hope that you can come along, or look at their works online, but also a hope that we can all get the various troubles of today behind us; tomorrow is, hopefully, brighter. With these young creatives it deserves to be.'
