Amy Scott
I am a Scottish born artist, having just completed my Undergrad Degree at Edinburgh College of Art.
The graduate film 'Jammed' explores the relationships across generations of a family, providing the opportunity for the viewer to relate to their fond childhood memories through the film's family tradition of jam making. A hybrid of 2D watercolour and 3D stop-motion animation creates a nostalgic journey for the audience as the film progresses, as the two main characters spend their time together and their bond strengthens.
I wanted to connect with fond memories of the audience's childhood and bring back the affectionate, warm feeling that is triggered by the connection made with older family members. As jam making is a tradition in my own family, it seemed fitting to use this as my inspiration.
